Oral Surgery
Do You Need Oral Surgery?
No one wants to hear they need oral surgery, but when you do, it’s imperative to work with a well-qualified, experienced oral surgeon. At the Arizona Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Tucson, our dentist, Dr. Charles Loschiavo, works collaboratively with your general dentist to determine the best course of treatment for you. If you’re having issues with wisdom teeth, need dental implants, or have any other issues that require oral surgery, our staff is here to ensure you get the care you need.
If you’re experiencing an urgent, painful dental condition, we can usually get you in to see Dr. Loschiavo quickly, even if you’re a new patient. We urge you to contact us if you need to see an oral surgeon immediately as we can usually accommodate requests for emergency appointments.

Oral Surgery Procedures We Provide
Dental implants
Replace missing teeth with dental implants, which function just like natural teeth.
Removing Wisdom Teeth
When third molars come in, they often cause issues and must be removed.
Tooth extraction
Permanent teeth may need to be removed due to damage, disease, or other conditions.
Pathology
We can remove areas that display signs of disease and examine them to determine the type and extent of any abnormal cells.
We offer local or general anesthesia, as well as nitrous oxide to assist with patient relaxation and comfort.
Our patient Chelsea was apprehensive about the oral surgery she needed, but she discovered that the procedure was far less scary than she originally anticipated:
“I was terrified to get my two wisdom teeth out. I have pretty bad medical anxiety and I’m even more scared of anesthesia, so I really wasn’t looking forward to the procedure. Dr. Loschiavo and his staff took excellent care of me and did a great job explaining the process. One of his assistants was very kind and kept me talking to ease my nerves. A couple days after the procedure, the office reached out to see how I was doing and thoroughly answered any questions I had, and now everything is healing up nicely. Surgery is never fun, but Dr. Loschiavo and his staff made it as comfortable of an experience as they could.”
